THE ENERGY BENEATH CREATIVITY

I have always been aware of the energy beneath creativity.

Writing, theatre, television, production + the digital world have shaped my creative palette for almost three decades, alongside a lifelong devotion to meditation, energy + conscious creation. I believe they’re one.

There is an artistry to creating; the cultivated skill of translating something unseen into form. Yet beneath the work lives creativity’s energetic counterpart—the internal posture from which we allow.

Years ago, I wrote that I believed in first embodying the purest, highest energies myself before even picking up the pen. I understand that with far greater depth now.

What we hold internally is what we naturally emanate. Creativity carves this energy into form. For me, this is where energetic attunement enters the creative process; softening the internal state to receive what naturally takes form. There is an energetic nuance between creating from a contracted internal state and creating from one that takes its breath from allowing. The work will find its light and emerge through cracks either way, yet what we hold beneath the act of creation inevitably travels with it.

There is an unseen architecture beneath what we create; an energetic imprint of what we are holding within ourselves as we give an idea form.

And I adore the idea of creativity as an act of attunement in itself — allowing what is held internally to move through us, take form + emanate into the world.

Breathwork to attune; meditation to connect; making love to express.

Creation is a lived experience; I believe that is our legacy.
